DEX WorkspacesLast Updated on 29 February 2012![]() With the strength of the Vivendo group behind it, DEX was born in 2009. This new company combined a highly personalized service with a solid infrastructure to provide the best possible experience for its customers. DEX have handled a number of high value projects in the short span of operation and is able to handle every request ranging from a single chair to the furnishing of several thousand square feet of office space, such as the recent outfitting of Aragon House, the new business centre. Some other large projects for some prestigious customers are Lufthansa Technik's 3,000 square metres of office space which was completed in just 25 days; installed the conference centre at the George Hotel and furnished the Executive Training Institute in Paceville; and they have also supplied office partitions for the 5,000 square metres of office space at the new APS Bank head office in Swatar. Office partitions represent a new phase for business at DEX, whereby there is a shift to more technical products, including partitions and raised flooring.
Our team at DEX is both highly trained and experienced in office solutions, and have considerable support from our suppliers who regularly meet with clients to help ensure that the design and materials used match the client's requirements exactly. These non-gypsum office partitions can be personalised to customers' specific requirements. Apart from looking fantastic, they also provide privacy and are excellent at noise reduction. Our installers and sales team are well trained and there is regular consultation with our suppliers to ensure a perfect finish. Both partitions and raised flooring allow the office to become modular and one can shift the layout around easily, reconfiguring the office as required as needs change. DEX has also installed 100 percent waterproof partitions in the Sunny Coast Spa in Qawra. Installation included lockers and shower cubicles that are non-permeable and waterproof. This was another flagship project for DEX and the customer is extremely happy with the results.
DEX differs not just in the materials it uses, but also in the way it does business, by focusing on identifying customers' needs. A culture of solving problems is developed, rather than just making sales. DEX partners with clients, helping them to achieve their goals by providing quality and functional products that match their brand identity. Most of the products provided have a continuation guarantee. What this means is that, in the event that your operation grows and you require additional furniture, you will be able to find matching items. In this way your office won't end up a mismatch of styles. Also DEX's suppliers provide us with ample technical assistance, including architects' services for planning and design to ensure that clients' specifications, needs and requirements are perfectly met. DEX is very sensitive to customers' requirements and are able to draw on the Vivendo Group as a support network.
This enables DEX to source just about any requirement that the client has. For example, some clients, in addition to furnishing the office, may also require a kitchenette for the staff. DEX can assist in such requests. In this manner the client has a single point of reference and one project manager to deal with - facilitating the finishing process. Often, when a client comes to DEX, they have already gone through all the structural changes and want the finishing to be done as speedily as possible in order for their business to get going as soon as possible. DEX operates on very short lead times to facilitate this and normally handles requests within a four to six-week period. However, we are also flexible enough to be able to handle requests in a faster time in the event of an emergency.
Now that DEX has established itself as an expert within the local office furniture market, it is also aggressively moving into the school furnishing market, with the recent completion of the new Seminary block. DEX is also bringing pre-fabricated, custom made staircases to market. These can really make a fantastic impression in one’s entrance lobby, similar to what General Soft Drink have in their reception area. DEX also assists all the major designers and architects on the island, in keeping up to date with new materials and products that are hitting the local market.
Our customers and clients appreciate our area of specialisation. They know that DEX simply lives office furniture.
DEX forms part of the Vivendo Group which comprises another four furniture showrooms specialising in different customer segments: Ideacasa, Quadra, poltronesofa` and Krea. The Group's core strengths are the diverse offerings it can bring to any project, as well as its strong backbone that guarantees a high level of customer service, good delivery times and professional project management.
